  1. Home Depot, Grainger, Zoro, Acetool, and CPO are all listed on DeWALT's website as selling this drawer unit.
  2. @Roasty I don't know if festoolproducts.com ships to where you live but they have a deal where you can buy a basic kit TSC55 cordless tracksaw for $440 and you get 4 free 5.2 ah batteries. Might be worth looking into.
  3. Well my big order from Festoolproducts arrived. CT 48 that was 10% off, PSC 420 EB, TSC 55, bluetooth module, 4 free batteries, and airstream charger.
  4. That is a great price considering it is a larger circular saw and is from Makita.
  5. A reson to go with a 2 hp router over a 3 hp is most are smaller and lighter than the 3hp routers. My OF1400 is around 1.75 hp and it is a great all around router. It hasn't lacked power for my routing so far. A good midsize router that can fit 1/2 inch collets is probably what you would want.
  6. It is a DeWALT but I am not sure what model.
  7. I like my DeWALT stuff but I wish SB&D had better compatibility in general. They missed a good opportunity to make this compatible with tstak or tough system. One could argue that is one of SB&D's major flaws.
  8. Have you looked at the 12v Bosch Flexiclick? It has the hex chuck and the standard jaw chuck. It also has an offset hex chuck and a right angle chuck. Other brands have similar kinds of systems like as mentioned previously some of Metabo's 18v have multichuck drills, Festool has them in both 12v and 18v, Fein has one I think in 18v, and Milwaukee has one in m12 but it is not offered in the United States. If you don't want a multichuck option then Makita has recently just came out with a new 18v hybrid 4 mode driver that has a hex chuck and drill function. Personally I wouldn't go with a hex only drill. I would go with one of these multichuck options. The Bosch is what I would recommend.
  9. @Jpgwoodworking Here is an idea. For starters All you would need is to make 2 identical workbenches(infeed/outfeed tables). They would be situated with a gap in between them. This gap would fit your longest tool. All tools would be on a rooling base of sorts which you would be able to lock between this gap. Their tops would be flush with the 2 workbenches. The shorter tools could either roll into the space short or you could build extensions to make the shorter tools as long as your longest tool.
  10. So what are the advantages of having a blower switch vs an always on blower? I don't know why I would need to turn the blower off. Would make sense to always want the cut line free of dust right?
  11. I would get the 12/4 flex battery over the 9/3 flex. It is same size as the 9/3 flex but has the 21700 cells which would be a bit more powerful than the 20700 cells that the 9/3 has. I don't know how much more powerful or if it is even noticeable. Would I get the 6/2 over the 12/4? I have a handful of 6/2 flex batteries and they have had plenty of power for me. I have never used the 9/3 or the 12/4. I wouldn't mind trying a higher ah battery. You are probably best off getting a 2 pack of 6/2's. They are cheaper per ah than one 12/4 yet still give you similar amounts of runtime. Also because there is 2 of them you can have one on 2 tools vs buying only one 12/4 and being restricted to just one tool at one time.
  12. so basically a modular workbench? If I am imagining what you are thinking of then I think you could easily make one. Basically one edge of the infeed table and one edge of the outfeed table would have a connection point whether it be some kind of slot, cleat, etc. The tool would then be on a base of some sort with a connection on front and back edge to fit onto the infeed and outfeed tables.
  13. There are 2 main ways to increase power in a tool. You can increase cells or increase cell size. The HD 9.0 got more power because it added 5 more cells to the pack than what the 5.0 batteries had. The HO 12.0 increased power over the HD 9.0 because it may have kept the same amount of cells but it increased the size of cells to 21700 in the 12 vs 18650 in the 9. With current technology to get more runtime and more power you have to increase size and/or weight. The 12.0 was designed for tools that are already big like the gen 2 fuel circ saw, the fuel table saw, the 1 inch fuel impact wrench, and etc.
  14. I was kinda disappointed to be honest. Did Craftsman have new products for what they are known for (ope, tool storage, mechanics tools) yes but they also had a bunch of other stuff we have seen with other SB&D brands. For example, why do we need a bunch of new cordless drills and nailers when we have already seen multiple iterations from other SB&D brands. On top of that there was a 20v battery and a 60v battery introduced and once again neither are compatible with any other SB&D brand. I would like to see some products from the SB&D brands be consolidated into only one brand so we don't have the same thing offered by 5 different brands. Also all pro level brands would be compatible and all pro level battery powered tools would be powered by DeWALT then all diy brands would be compatible and powered by B&D batteries.
  15. I bought some more Festool today. Took advantage of some deals that were going on.
  16. I wonder why DeWALT made the change. Maybe to save cost? Possibly just a preproduction model maybe the final version will have it?
  17. Does the old brushed model have these features?
  18. Jronman

    Freud Router

Have you tried inserting the bit first then installing the collet?
  19. Motor, filter, electronics, etc. are probably on the top half then the dust storage on bottom half would be my guess.

    Freud Router

I have heard they are decent. Maybe not quite the quality of their blades/bits but I could be wrong.
  21. @JimboS1ice I usually just borrow a circular saw from work guys but maybe one day if I see a need to get a more traditional circular saw I might consider the HKC 55. I am looking at getting the TSC 55 free battery and 10% vac deal right now.

    Home Depot

I just seen a post about this kit. Not sure if it is still a thing or not.
  23. This is the Europe model. I'd wonder if it is coming to North America but there has been enough stuff lately that Europe has gotten that we haven't gotten. I wouldn't be surprised if it is Europe only.
  24. is fiber cement another name for hardiboard? The guys at work claim hardi does a bad job with high wind.
  25. nice choice. Ego is great. I got one of the handheld blowers which is plenty powerful for what I use it for. I also got the brushed hedge trimmer which has excellent runtime. I could get half a day of work done and still have charge left on a 2.0 battery.
